for WV State Senate – 15th District

Tom serves as a litigation, real estate and business planning attorney with the Martinsburg, WV law firm of Glenloch Legal, P.L.C. where he is a Partner. Prior, Tom worked as an international business attorney in the Washington, D.C. office of the world’s largest law firm after clerking for a Federal Judge at the U.S. Tax Court. Tom also has extensive experience in real estate development and venture capital projects and has personally led many investment projects since 1999. He graduated from Georgetown University School of Law with Honors and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia.

Tom is an Eagle Scout and is a Lieutenant Colonel in the West Virginia National Guard having joined in Kingwood, WV in 2000. As a Special Forces Green Beret, he has served tours all over the world including in the Middle East, Europe, and South America. Tom is a published author and has spoken as a guest on FOX BUSINESS ®, CNN ®, and i24 NEWS®.

As a founding Board Member, Tom helped establish the Rick Herrema Foundation, a non-profit to help military members adapt to stresses on soldiers and their families. He currently serves on Shepherd University’s Board of Advisors for the Hunter Carlos Willis Aviation Program.

Tom and his wife Sara have raised their three children in Hedgesville, WV since 2015. Tom’s life experiences, including living overseas, military training, and the trials of losing his first wife and oldest son to cancer, help him to connect at a heart level with many. He enjoys outdoor recreation, firearms, talking to people, reading history, and singing. He speaks English, French, Spanish and Russian.
